NetJets Takes Delivery Of Its First Signature Series Phenom 300

Plans Announced For Signature Series Phenom 300s In The U.S.

NetJets has taken delivery of its first NetJets Signature Series Phenom 300 aircraft from Embraer Executive Jets ... the first light cabin NetJets Signature Series aircraft to enter the marketplace. NetJets formally accepted the aircraft at a special delivery ceremony at Embraer Executive Jets’ Customer and Delivery Center in Melbourne, Florida.

Beginning in early 2014, the aircraft will be manufactured at Embraer Executive Jets' Phenom production facility in Melbourne, Florida, which has resulted in the addition of over 200 new U.S. jobs in the area. NetJets has 125 Signature Series Phenom 300 aircraft on order (50 firm orders and 75 options) valued at $1 billion. “We are pleased to partner with Embraer to deliver our customers the NetJets Signature Series Phenom 300, an outstanding light cabin jet designed exclusively for NetJets,” said Jordan B. Hansell, NetJets chairman and CEO. “This high performance aircraft is ideally suited to our customers’ needs for safety, reliability, interior comfort and operating efficiency. The addition of the Signature Series Phenom 300 will expand the unparalleled offerings and capabilities of the NetJets global fleet.”

Following the ceremony, the aircraft will fly to Omaha, Nebraska where it will be displayed at the celebrated Berkshire Hathaway Annual Shareholders meeting, scheduled to take place on Saturday, May 4. "This is a great day for Embraer Executive Jets," said Ernest Edwards, president, Embraer Executive Jets. "NetJets' Signature Series Phenom 300 will deliver a unique experience to its customers and will illustrate how well this aircraft fits into a variety of operations, including the demanding environment of private aviation. NetJets’ confidence in the Phenom 300 is a significant validation of the program."

The addition of the NetJets Signature Series Phenom 300 to the NetJets worldwide fleet is part of NetJets’ plan to add up to 670 new aircraft with a total value of $17.6 billion over the next decade. In addition to the Embraer Phenom 300 and Bombardier Global 6000/5000 aircraft, the company will be adding the following aircraft over the next 10 years: Bombardier Challenger models (including the 300 and 605 series), the Cessna Citation Latitude as well as the Bombardier Global 7000 and 8000 aircraft.
