Texas Pilot Thrown in Jail For Threatening a Potential Employer

Patrick Trevor White Sentenced to One Month in Jail, 12 Months on Probation

A pilot from Waco, Texas, will be spending the next month in the slammer and a year more on probation after threatening a potential employer. With a failed alcohol screening and several murder-related voicemails left in his future boss’s inbox, it’s safe to say he did not get the job.

Patrick Trevor White was interviewed for the chief pilot role at an anonymous Florida operator in early 2024. In February 2024, he was sent a conditional employment offer and went in for a standard pre-employment medical screening. However, when White’s blood alcohol level results came back at 0.04, the company was forced to rescind its offer and move on.

White was not so quick to forgive and forget. He called the company’s Director of Operations for days on end, leaving some very ominous voicemails ranging from “I hope you like the smell of [barbeque]” to “I love the street you live on.” Points for creativity.

He gave it a rest for several weeks before beginning to send the Director text messages. White said, “I had an epiphany a vision if you will someone that you love is going to die in the next 14 days and its not in my will nor will it be from my hand, but it is going to happen. I would start praying if I was you.”

Though White did not explicitly state why he chose to strike up conversations again, the alleged victim of the messages noted that it could have been sparked by medical certification problems. White was likely unable to renew his medical certificate due to the pending alcohol violation, making it illegal for him to fly.

Shortly after, White’s voicemails got more intense. He claimed that he was being evicted because of “your actions” and actually said that he was going to “kill you” several times.

White was initially facing up to 5 years in federal prison for his crimes. His final sentence was much lighter, earning him 1 month in jail, 12 months of probation, and a $25 special assessment.
