Japan’s Peach Aviation Introduces FlySmart With Airbus On iPad

EFB Solution Will Include Airbus Flight Operation Manuals

Peach Aviation, Japan’s Low Cost Carrier (LCC), has selected “FlySmart with Airbus” on iPad, the Airbus Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) solution.

Peach Aviation pilots will consult all their Airbus flight operational manuals on iPads. They will also be able to compute their aircraft performance calculations which will provide them with optimised and accurate results on any runway of their operational route network.

“FlySmart with Airbus will allow us to realize optimized operations and to remove paper thus reducing associated costs," said Shinichi Inoue, Representative Director and CEO of Peach Aviation. "We consider this solution as a real asset for our future operations to further improve the quality of our service”.

In addition, Peach Aviation will also benefit from the service of “EFB Assessment and EFB Operational Approval Assistance” called APPROVE4Flight and provided by Airbus Flight Operations Services Ltd.

This service is on-site support for the compliance dossier including an analysis of the existing organisation and processes, and the definition of Peach Aviation EFB implementation plan based on Airbus Flight Operations Services recommendations and best practices.

“We are confident that this agreement will open new perspectives in Japan to further expand the use of Airbus e-Solutions and the services provided by Airbus Flight Operations Services throughout the region,” said Didier Lux, Senior Vice President of Airbus Customer Services.

Peach Aviation operates 15 A320 aircraft and will take delivery of 5 additional A320s starting in July 2015.
