EAA Members Can Now Receive Updates On Best Local Aviation Events

Partners With SocialFlight To Deliver Customized Newsletters Via Email

The Experimental Aircraft Association and the developers of SocialFlight.com and the SocialFlight mobile apps have joined forces to offer EAA members customized aviation newsletters delivered weekly to their email inbox that include upcoming local aviation events.

“Our annual member survey confirmed what our website traffic data showed—finding events and places to fly is a significant interest of EAA members,” said Cory Puuri, EAA Membership Development Manager. “While EAA’s calendar of events is a powerful tool for finding events, members asked us to deliver localized event information to their email inbox so they can plan where to fly. Since SocialFlight has become known for its cross-platform aviation event information distribution, they were a logical partner to help us launch such a service.”

EAA members can sign-up for the EAA Aviation Event Newsletter at EAA.org/EventNews. The process is simple: sign in to the EAA website, click a button to sign-up for the newsletter, and a customized registration page opens on SocialFlight, pre-filled with your basic information from EAA so that the newsletters can be customized to your location.

Later this year, EAA and SocialFlight will roll-out additional program features to help EAA members find event information and encourage them to fly including: integration of aviation calendars, exclusive giveaways for EAA members who fly to events and check-in on the SocialFlight mobile app, and more.

“SocialFlight and EAA share common goals of supporting General Aviation and getting more pilots out there and flying.” said Jeff Simon, Founder of SocialFlight. “This partnership will help spread the word about how much is happening every day in the world of aviation.  Now EAA members will have to look no further than their inbox to stay in touch with their local aviation community and plan their next flying adventure!”

EAA combines its network of nearly 900 EAA chapters worldwide organizing monthly events, an extensive calendar of events, and EAA AirVenture Oshkosh – the World’s Greatest Aviation Celebration – with SocialFlight’s equally extensive calendar of events, and industry-leading web and mobile apps for finding aviation events and locations to become the source for information on aviation events.
