Carville, Matalin Return To NBAA-BACE

Will Offer Offer Election-Year Perspectives During Second-Day Opening Session

Political power couple Mary Matalin and James Carville are returning to the NBAA-BACE to give their unique perspective on the Presidential election and other political issues just days before voters go to the polls.

The two will be featured at the Second-Day Opening Session of NBAA’s Business Aviation Conference & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE) on Wednesday, Nov. 2. in Orlando. Topics addressed in the remarks from Carville and Matalin will range from the race for the White House to today’s most important political issues, as well as a behind-the-scenes look at Washington politics.

”This has been an extraordinary year in American politics,” noted NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen. “We look forward to having James Carville and Mary Matalin at our convention, and hearing their insights and predictions, just a week ahead of Election Day.”

Carville and Matalin have long been key players in American politics, each with more than 30 years’ experience, up to and including service at the presidential level. When they met, Carville was President Bill Clinton’s campaign manager, and Matalin was President George H.W. Bush’s campaign manager, in 1992. As husband and wife, they have retained their separate political affiliations, and from their individual perspectives, each shares a candid and provocative analysis of the political landscape from both sides of the aisle.

Known as the “Ragin’ Cajun,” Louisiana-born Carville has guided politicians into state and federal offices since 1986. In recent years, he has been working in the international political arena, while keeping an eye on domestic politics. A celebrated conservative voice, Matalin started her political participation after graduating from Western Illinois University in 1980. After working in state campaigns, the “Reagan Revolution” brought her to Washington, DC, where the Republican National Committee quickly hired her.

In their distinct voices, Carville and Matalin also look at how they – and America – have changed in the past two decades. Both possess sharp wits and political viewpoints, which are often provided – together and separately – on Sunday morning public-affairs television programs.
