Aero-TV At XPO21: Skyfront Provides Exceptional Endurance

"The Longest We've Ever Flown A Drone For Was 13 Hours”

Jim Campbell, Aero-News Editor-In-Chief, stopped by the Skyfront booth at AUVSI 2021 to see just what makes Skyfront so special. The electric drone manufacturer boasts the longest endurance hybrid drones, suitable for delivery, surveillance, or any other mission demanding extra airtime. "The longest we've ever flown a drone for was 13 hours," said Troy Mestler, CEO of the company.

Their record was so high, it earned them a spot in the top 3 longest-enduring rotorcraft in the world. Skyfront offers something for every enterprise, owing to their long-range capability, high payload capacity, and hybrid power systems. Using a small gasoline-powered generator and redundant rotors, the Perimeter 4 and 8 can carry expensive, irreplaceable payloads without fear.

Where to go from here? Mestler says they want to specialize, "What we're really focused on is specializing this vehicle for beyond visual line of sight - that's all we're focused on doing. We've solved the endurance issue, we've solved the payload issue, now we're making sure this vehicle can operate at range safely and comply with FAA regulations."
