Elite Skydiving Team Will Attempt Record-Breaking Jump

Currently Training In Nepal For Complex Helicopter Jump

An elite team of skydivers led by former U.S. Navy SEAL Fred Williams is currently training in Nepal for jumps they hope will establish new records for military-style skydiving.

Fox News reports that the team will conduct a series of parachute jumps with each exceeding the limits of the last. They hope to break both solo and tandem jump records along the way.

While most of the team is very experienced ... Williams, for example, has more than 15,000 jumps to his credit ... one, U.S. Marine Corps sniper and sniper instructor, Caylen Wojcik, is a beginning skydiver. The company behind the effort, Complete Parachute Solutions (CPS), specializes in Military Freefall training. With 50 jumps under his belt with CPS, Wojcik traveled to Nepal with the team.

Parachute operations will be conducted from the Syangboche airport ... a 100-foot unimproved strip at an elevation of 12,400 feet. It is the only landing area available.

At least one jump has already been successfully completed, according to the report.
