Doroni’s H1 eVTOL Prototype Surpasses 50 Successful Test Flights

Personal eVTOL Platform Slated for 2024 Debut

Founded in 2016 by serial entrepreneur Doron Merdinger for purpose of actualizing his ambition of providing the world an entirely new mode of sustainable transportation, Miami, Florida-based Doroni Aerospace announced on 12 June 2023 that it has completed upwards of fifty test-flights of its electric Vertical Take-Off and Landing (eVTOL) aircraft, the Doroni Aerospace H1.

The accomplishment speaks to Doroni’s dedication to transforming the means by which humankind travels while maintaining a high-degree of ecological responsibility.

Doroni’s H1 is a two-seat personal quad-copter eVTOL with an advertised top speed of 121-knots, a cruising speed of 87-knots, a range of 52-nautical-miles, and a recharge interval—from twenty to eighty-percent charge—of twenty-minutes.

Doroni’s website states the 23-foot-long, 15-foot-wide, 5.5-foot tall H1 will weigh 1650-pounds and have a five-hundred-pound payload. Initially, the website set forth the H1 would be offered to the public at an estimated starting retail price of $195,000. The machine’s estimated cost has since risen to $250,000.

Sticker-price notwithstanding, Doroni asserts legal operation of the H1 will require only a valid driver’s license and completion of a twenty-hour, Doroni-provided training course.

Doroni Aerospace founder and CEO Doron Merdinger stated: "We are beyond thrilled with the remarkable success of our flight tests, which has truly showcased the immense capabilities of the Doroni eVTOL. We remain steadfast in our mission to revolutionize personal transportation, creating innovative and cutting-edge solutions that will reshape the way we interact with space and beyond."

To date, Doroni—by virtue of the equity crowdfunding platform StartEngine.com and the optimism of some 1,900 investors—has raised over $3.6-million. In May 2023, the company launched a Series A offering, aiming to raise $20-30-million to sustain ongoing development of its H1 platform.

Doroni Aerospace COO Yaakov Werdiger remarked: "This offering represents an important landmark in our journey to revolutionize the aviation and personal mobility industry. By pushing the boundaries of technology, we aim to provide our customers with unparalleled convenience and sustainability, setting new benchmarks for the transportation segment.”
