Trans States Airlines To Participate In ATP Tuition Reimbursement Program

Program Funds A Portion Of Tuition Costs For Pilots Who Commit To Flying For Trans States Airlines

Trans States Airlines has partnered with ATP Flight School to offer financial aid to aspiring commercial pilots as part of ATP's Tuition Reimbursement Program. This program assists with flight school loan repayment or refunds a portion of flight training costs for eligible participants. In exchange, ATP pilots agree to fly for Trans States after gaining the required flight experience.

"This innovative new program ... offsets the costs associated with earning a commercial pilot license," said Fred Oxley, Chief Operating Officer at Trans States Airlines. "While many regional airlines, including Trans States, offer signing bonuses to incentivize pilots, this program is the first of its kind to subsidize training costs."

"ATP students have access to numerous loan options for full financing of airline career pilot program flight training. This agreement will allow for a portion of students' training costs to be paid for by Trans States Airlines," said Justin Dennis, Vice President, ATP.

In addition to ATP tuition reimbursement, Trans States offers a $10,000 First Officer signing bonus and covers the cost of the ATP-CTP course for qualified applicants. Trans States is also one of the only regional airlines in the country with a Captain Qualified First Officer (CQFO) program, giving experienced new hire pilots immediate access to the left seat.
