S-Tec Celebrates 30 Years With System Thirty Giveaway

Will Award System During Lakeland Fly-In

S-Tec announced this week the company is celebrating its 30th anniversary by giving a lucky aircraft owner a new S-Tec System Thirty two-axis autopilot during the 2008 Lakeland Fly-In, which runs April 8 through 13 in Lakeland, FL.

"The System Thirty is one of our most popular autopilots for general aviation aircraft. It not only provides pilots with many of S-Tec’s most sought after features, it does so in a compact, panel-mounted unit," explained Greg Plantz, S-Tec V.P. Sales and Marketing. "The capabilities, functionality and reliability of the System Thirty makes this just one example of the type of products that have made S-Tec the world’s number one supplier of autopilots to the general aviation aftermarket since 1982."

The S-Tec System Thirty includes a long list of features, including:

  • VOR/LOC/GPS Tracking
  • Roll Stabilization Mode
  • Altitude Hold Mode
  • Heading Pre-Select and Hold Mode
  • Pitch Trim Annunciation, and more

The System Thirty also offers popular options including:

  • Control Wheel Mode Select
  • GPSS (GPS Steering) Converter
  • Manual Electric Trim

"S-Tec has enjoyed a number of industry firsts during our 30 year history," Plantz said. "Because the System Thirty is STC’d in over 450 different aircraft, we decided that giving an aircraft owner one of the most popular autopilots in all of general aviation is the perfect way to celebrate this milestone."

Aircraft owners can enter into S-Tec's drawing by filling out a card at their booth (#D11-13) during the annual spring fly-in and convention. The winning aircraft owner's name will be drawn on Saturday, April 12, 2008 at noon. The winner will be notified by S-Tec.

The winner must own an airplane that is STC'd for the System Thirty. An authorized S-Tec dealer must perform the installation. The System Thirty grand prize does not include the cost of the autopilot installation into the customer's aircraft.

If the winning person does not own a qualifying airplane, that entry will be disqualified and another name will be drawn.
