Anti-Skid Braking System Recently Recently Received FAA STC
Banyan Air Service has been approved as an authorized dealer and installation facility for Advent Aircraft System’s recent FAA STC for the advanced-technology GPS/digital anti-skid braking system (Advent eABS). This STC is for Beechcraft King Air B300/B300C equipped with Rockwell Collins Pro Line GPS 4000S or Garmin G1000/430W/530W avionics.
“eABS is a proven, lightweight, low-cost, and easily-installed digital anti-skid braking system designed especially for turbine powered aircraft up to 20,000 lb. MTOW. The system has excellent braking performance and requires no change to existing braking system components. This is the first time that a practical anti-skid system has been available for the King Air,” said Tom Gurnbeck, Advent Aircraft System’s VP of Marketing and Sales.
This anti-skid braking system offers several benefits to King Air operators, including, system performance, tire protection, tactile feedback, low-speed cut-out, touchdown protection, and minimal downtime.
“We are very excited to be able to offer our King Air B300 customers Advent’s eABS,” said Matthew Schepers, Banyan’s Director of MRO Services. “Installation requires minimal downtime and can be done separately or during scheduled maintenance inspections. We are also looking forward to Advent’s certification for the King Air B200 and the Pilatus PC-12/12NG that are in the works. These will enable us to provide anti-skid solutions to more aircraft.”
Banyan Air Service based at Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport is well known for MRO services of turbine powered aircraft, including King Air, Pilatus, Citation, Learjet, Hawker, Challenger and Falcon.
