Tempest Sparks Two New Products

Here's A Plug For A Starter

By Dan Billingsley

Tempest announced the addition of two new products Tuesday: premium spark plugs and a new starter product line.

The spark plugs have a bright nickel plating which provides corrosion protection as well as a glass center seal and resistor for improved spark gap life. The spark plug line is not only new but its manufacturing facility has been relocated from Rockford, IL to Gibsonville, NC.

The heavy duty starter line is advertised as the Tempest PowerFlite series and boasts a new state-of-the-art energy efficient design while reducing the current draw by 20%. The PowerFlite starters will mount directly to existing TCM engines and is available in both 12 and 24 volt configurations.
Both the spark plugs and the starters have received FFA/PMA.

Kirby Chambliss

Kirby Chambliss, a notable Red Bull Air Race pilot, was in attendance for endorsement of Tempest products and stated he was grateful for the great products and service Tempest provides. He is looking forward to a continued partnership with Tempest.
