Long-Range Airborne Imaging System Unveiled at Farnborough

Teledyne FLIR Defense’s Technology Not Subject to Regulations

Teledyne FLIR Defense revealed its new UltraFORCE® 380-HDc imaging system at Farnborough International Air Show on July 24.

The UltraFORCE 380-HDc is a long-range surveillance system capable of high-definition multi-spectral imaging that does not fall under any restrictions by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Thus, there are no obstacles or challenges in sales or shipping for customers outside the U.S. The visual, thermal, low-light, and shortwave infrared (SWIR) sensors with full 1080p resolution make it ideal for airborne patrol, reconnaissance, and search and rescue applications. It also features touchscreen video management and a filter to remove atmospheric smoke and fog for optimum clarity and visibility.

The 14.6” height profile maximizes ground clearance, and a laser rangefinder and pointer can be used to covertly paint targets or points of interest for observers with night vision goggles or other IR viewing device. Additionally, the UltraFORCE 380-HDc provides 2x-4x greater magnification than other products in its size and weight class.

Kety Frachey, Senior Director for airborne systems-Europe at Teledyne FLIR Defense commented, “The new UltraFORCE 380-HDc is a powerful long-range imaging system in a small package. With 380-HDc, we’ve brought together the most vital capabilities military and law enforcement users worldwide require to execute their missions in a smaller SWaP-C form.”
