Plane Impacts Colorado Home Pilot Previously Owned

No Injuries Reported, Action Appears To Be Unintentional

A Colorado firefighter who works part time as a banner-tow pilot was involved in an accident Monday in which he impacted a home that he previously owned.

No one was in the home when the accident occurred, according to Denver television station KDVR, and even the pilot walked away apparently uninjured. Firefighter Brian Veatch was back at work at his fire station Tuesday night, according to the report.

The accident occurred late Monday afternoon local time. The airplane impacted the roof of the home inverted. Investigators have yet to determine if Veatch knew he had previously owned the residence. The owner of the aircraft said he had been towing an advertising banner headed towards Coors Field for a Colorado Rockies game when the airplane lost power and came down in the residential neighborhood.

The current owner of the home said he was grateful that there were no injuries, and that he had insurance to cover the damage. Veatch now owns property about three miles from the accident site.
