Baron 55s & Cessna 310s Have New McCauley Blackmac STC Option

The FAA has granted an STC to McCauley Propeller Systems for installation of a new three bladed propeller for the Beechcraft Baron 95-55, 95-A55, 95-B55, 95-B55A, and 95-B55B. A new three-bladed STC has also been awarded for the Cessna E310J, 310J and 310L.

At this time, the majority of Baron 55 and Cessna 310 operators use older threaded propellers that are heavier and more expensive to operate. In addition, new replacement blades for threaded propellers are no longer produced by McCauley. McCauley's three-bladed BLACKMAC STC propeller will provide operators with an average weight savings
of 10 pounds when compared to the legacy three-blade propellers factory installed on these aircraft. In addition, McCauley's Baron 55 and Cessna 310 BLACKMAC STC's offer longer TBOs and fewer ADs than other propellers available today.

McCauley BLACKMAC STC propellers come with a standard three-year warranty extended to include McCauley supplied replacement parts for components found unserviceable due to manufacturing defects at first recommended overhaul.

Introduced in 1989, McCauley's BLACKMAC STC propellers were reportedly the first mass production high performance STC propeller offered to the aviation industry. BLACKMAC STC propellers are recognized for providing operators with a propeller tailored to their specific needs. This propeller customization has resulted in substantial aircraft performance improvements, and has ultimately led to OEMs adopting BLACKMAC STC designs as their original factory-equipped propeller. BLACKMAC STC conversions are available through McCauley's Authorized Service Center Network.
