Two RAF KC2 Voyagers Vandalized At Brize Norton

Pro-Palestinian Group Claims Credit

A pro-Palestine direct-action protest group claimed credit for two of its members breaking into the RAF Brize Norton Airbase west of London during the early morning of June 20 and defacing two KC2 Voyagers while they were parked on the ramp by spraying paint into the engines and the aircraft exteriors, causing an as-yet unknown amount of damage.

  • Date: Friday 20 June 2025
  • Type: Airbus KC2 Voyager (A330-243MRTT)
  • Owner/Operator: Royal Air Force - RAF
  • Fatalities: Fatalities: 0 / Occupants: 0
  • Aircraft damage: Minor
  • Location: RAF Brize Norton (BZZ/EGVN) - United Kingdom
  • Nature: Military

Video recorded by the group known as Palestine Action showed two people on electric scooters driving unimpeded onto the ramp and then spraying red spray paint into an engine. Later news video showed paint on the engine exterior as well as on the fuselage.

It is not known how the vandals evaded security at the largest RAF base in the UK, but the Ministry of Defence, or MoD, was embarrassed and extremely concerned by the serious breach of security at the base, not just because of the damage to the aircraft but also particularly because an aircraft used by the king and prime minister can be parked there.

Though not confirmed to be that aircraft, one with the British flag on its tail could be seen. An MoD spokesman said investigations are under way.

Keir Starmer, the British Prime Minister said in a post on X, “The act of vandalism committed at RAF Brize Norton is disgraceful. Our Armed Forces represent the very best of Britain and put their lives on the line for us every day. It is our responsibility to support those who defend us.”
