Oshkosh Visit Pays Off For Student Pilot

Phoenix East Aviation, Inc. has announced the winner of a Private Pilot Basic Course giveaway. Beau Mongold, Summerton, South Carolina, was selected at random from all entries submitted at the Phoenix East Aviation exhibit during EAA AirVenture 2004 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. He will receive his training at Phoenix East's flight training academy in Daytona Beach, Florida. Beau also received a free membership in EAA.

Beau commented that he has loved aviation since boyhood, and now at the age of 25, he is looking forward to beginning flight training: "I just never had the time or money to take flying lessons. College was more important."

He added: "I've always had an interest in training for an aviation career. Winning this flight training course may now provide the opportunity to seriously start working toward that dream."

Aviation has been a part of Beau's family for 3 generations. His grandfather and uncle were retired Captains at Delta Air Lines. Beau's father, George Mongold, is a recently retired US Airways Captain. Phoenix East Aviation, Inc. provides comprehensive pilot training, specializing in professional flight instruction. FAR Part 141, private, commercial and multi-engine professional programs and FAR Part 61 courses are offered. The school is nationally accredited and is approved to offer Veteran Benefits under the G.I. Bill, as well as offering M-1 and J-1 visa programs for foreign students. Headquartered in Daytona Beach, Florida, the school has been in continuous operation since 1972.
