CAE Ends Russian Services

Training, Service, Terminated for Russian Simulators, Airlines,

CAE has announced the termination of service offerings in the Russian Federation, discontinuing their service and training to all Russian airlines, aircraft operators, and, unusually - healthcare distributors.

The company has donated to the Red Cross in an effort to defray some of the human suffering occurring in the region, as well as assisting volunteers in neighboring countries. The firm does not have any facilities in Russia, but does have service contracts with airlines to provide parts and update services in its training center network.

In a statement describing their position, they said: "CAE is saddened by the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine, and in support of its people, CAE has ceased to offer training services to pilots of Russian airlines as well as corporate and cargo operators in its training network. The company has also ceased to sell and service simulators for Russian airlines as well as healthcare distributors."

"To support the humanitarian relief operations for Ukrainian refugees fleeing war, CAE has donated $60,000 CAN (~$46,000 US) to the Red Cross. To date, CAE employees worldwide have donated more than $65,000 to the Red Cross, for a total of more than $125,000 donated by CAE and its employees. CAE will continue to match employee donations worldwide until March 31."
