Ayla Aviation Academy Establishes Multi-Crew Pilot License Program In Jordan

Ayla Aviation Academy has announced it’s intent to launch an MPL (Multi-Crew Pilot License) program in Jordan in 2008. “We see MPL as an up-to-date training program designed to give pilots the essential core and basic skills found in existing programs, but with added emphasis and training on advanced instrument aircraft and simulators, as well as Multi-Crew Cooperation”, said Matthew Margesson, COO.

Ayla Aviation’s fleet includes the EFIS equipped Diamond DA40 and DA42, as well as the ALSIM AL200-42 simulator, which will be used for core and basic training. Intermediate training will utilize a FSTD Level III simulator, which is currently under review. Advanced training to license and type rating issue will be completed with a partner company located in the region. The program will comply with the ICAO Annex1/PANS-TRG licensing requirements, published by ICAO in November 2006, as well as local regulations.

“Evolving in the direction of MPL is the logical step for us. We have gained the trust of customers such as Royal Jordanian and Gulf Air, and we would like to continue to work with airlines, some of which are currently looking at MPL as an upgrade to their current training."

Ayla Aviation Academy is located at King Hussein International Airport in Aqaba, Jordan. The facilities include comprehensively equipped training centers located in purposebuilt ground and flight facilities. Utilizing state-of-the-art aircraft, simulators and training techniques, under the supervision of highly qualified Professional Team of Ground and Flight Instructors, Ayla prepares trainee Pilots to the new set of skills and standards required by the Airline Industry.
