Malaysian Training Center Orders Tobago GT

Langkawi Aerospace Training Centre to operate four of the EADS/Socata aircraft

The Langkawi Aerospace Training Centre of Kuala Lumpur has signed a contract for the purchase of four TB-10 Tobago GT aircraft in training configuration at Eurocopter Malaysia facility in Terminal 2, Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport, 47200 Subang, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

As does Air France, China Airlines, Thai Airways, Qantas and more than 50 flight training schools around the world, the Langkawi-based flight training centre will operate these aircraft for the use of basic and advanced training for their students. These students will be training for careers as aerospace engineers or airline pilots.

"For a future pilot, the aircraft on which you will get your 'wings' is of primary importance as it will condition its behavior.  For this role, we need the best training aircraft and we found it with the TB 10 Tobago GT whose qualities have been proven by the thousands of aircraft in service in high profile flight training organizations all over the world," said Puan Sri Mazmin Noordin, the Executive Director of LATC.

"We are proud that such an established and prestigious school like the LATC has selected our aircraft and we look forward in extending our partnership," stated Mr Philippe Lubrano, Managing Director of Eurocopter Malaysia, the distributor of EADS Socata for the South East Asia region (TB GT & TBM 700 aircraft).
