Shadin Avionics Names Dan Nelson As CEO

Managed Air Data Systems For Cruise Missiles, F-22 Raptor

Shadin Avionics announced this week Dan Nelson was recently appointed to serve as the company's Chief Executive Officer. Nelson assumed the CEO role on February 23.

"We have made many positive changes this past year at Shadin Avionics, and Mr. Nelson has the leadership and experience needed to continue our positive momentum," said Robert J. Wright, Chairman of The Wright Group (TWG) which owns Shadin Avionics.

Nelson brings nine years of aerospace industry experience with Rosemount and Honeywell, in addition to 10 years of business leadership with companies such as ATMI Inc. and Nanovance Inc. He has managed primary and secondary air data sensor programs for the F-22, Paveway and cruise missile programs, and is a licensed pilot.

"I am delighted to be appointed CEO for Shadin Avionics," stated Nelson. "The company has a tremendous history and solid technology and I look forward to working with the team to build upon these strengths to provide new innovation and greater value to our customers."

Nelson earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota in electrical engineering and his MBA from the University of St. Thomas.

Shadin Avionics specializes in the design, manufacture, support and distribution of aircraft performance measurement and control instrumentation solutions, including Fuel Flow Systems, Engine Trend Monitoring (ETM), Altitude Management Systems, Air Data Computers (ADC), Converters and other instrumentation for turbine, piston and rotor aircraft for the military, general and corporate aviation markets.
