Looking To The Future And Upcoming Retirements

Duncan Aviation announced changes in its senior leadership as it is looking to the future and begins preparing for retirements. CEO Jeff Lake relinquished the title of President to Mike Minchow effective January 1 but will retain the CEO position. Kasey Harwick was promoted to Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Duncan’s Lincoln, Nebraska, facility.

Minchow is a 31-year veteran of the company and was previously the COO of the Lincoln MRO facility. He joined the Duncan Aviation Design Center in 1993 as a Designer while completing his Master’s degree in architecture at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He became Team Leader of Design, advanced to Sales Team Leader, then on to Program Manager.

He then became Sales Manager of Modifications and added responsibilities for Airframe and Engine in 2011. In 2015 he was promoted to Duncan Aviation’s Senior Management Team as Vice President of Modifications and Engineering, and then was named COO-Lincoln in 2020.

Harwick joined Duncan in Lincoln in 1999 performing completions on Astra SPX aircraft and then transitioned to the Airframe team and gained experience on Astras, Learjets, and Challengers. He became a Lead Technician and then a moved into a Team Leader position for a fleet customer program. He served as the Program Manager until 2017 when he was promoted to Director of Maintenance at the Battle Creek, Michigan, facility.

He was promoted to Vice President of Maintenance in 2018 and then returned to Lincoln in 2019 as Vice President of Aircraft Services and Quality prior to his current promotion. He holds an Associate degree in Testing, a B.S. degree in Business, two Masters degrees in Business and Leadership, and a Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Leadership.
