Commemorative Air Force Brings History To Life

The Commemorative Air Force will host its second Aviation Discovery Fest from October 4-6 at Dallas Executive Airport (KRBD) in Texas. The Dallas-based nonprofit will have on display a wide-ranging array of World War II-era airplanes for history enthusiasts to check off on their bucket lists by taking rides or interior tours and other hands-on experiences. Ontario International Receives $4 Million From FAA

AIP Funds For Runway, Taxiway Rehab Projects

Ontario International Airport (KONT) in Ontario, California, will receive another $4 million from the FAA via a grant through the Airport Improvement Program (AIP). The airport will use the funds for rehabilitating its runways and taxiways as it continues to be the most popular airport in the state, according to the most recent airport satisfaction study by J.D. Powers. Located about 35 miles east of Los Angeles, the airport is on track to surpass 7 million passengers in 2024. That is a 75% increase since the airport was returned to local ownership in 2016. KONT also ranks in the Top 10 cargo airports in the country.

The Federal Aviation Administration recently proposed a $73,000 civil penalty on Zipline International’s Concord, North Carolina location. Helicopter Came To Rest Inverted In A Cornfield About 200 Feet Southeast Of A Powerline Tower

On July 29, 2024 about 1330 central standard time, a Bell 206-B3 (File Photo-Below) Helicopter, N94XA, was destroyed when it was involved in an accident near Nashua, Iowa. The pilot was fatally injured. The helicopter was operated as a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 137 aerial application flight. The operator reported that the pilot was scheduled to spray insecticide and fungicide over local cornfields. Preliminary data retrieved from an onboard GPS aerial application guidance system showed that the helicopter departed from a farm, about 3 statute miles west of Nashua, at 0905, and proceeded to spray several fields south of the accident si
