ATR Aircraft Orders And Services Robust In 2024

Orders Jump 40% over Previous Year

ATR, maker of regional turboprop airliners, announced 2024 full-year results showing strong growth with orders for 56 aircraft representing a 40% increase over 2023, as well as a higher level of customer support and services of 15%. Thirty-five aircraft were delivered last year, about the same as 2023 and in line with guidance provided by the company.

ATR said that 51 ATR 72 and 5 ATR 42 aircraft were ordered, which brings the company’s backlog to a total of more than 150. Sales comprised a blend of new and existing customers from both airlines and lessors. Asian customers dominated the results, with more interest shown from Canadian carriers as well.

The company reported revenues of $1.2 billion, with its book-to-bill ratio standing at substantially above 1. In the second-hand market there were 100 transactions, showing strong demand for the cost-effective, low-emissions aircraft.

GOCustomer support and services totaled $480 million, 15% above the 2023 level.

Nathalie Tarnaud Laude, Chief Executive Officer of ATR. “We worked through a challenging year in 2024 and I want to thank everyone, from our customers to my colleagues, who contributed to these results,” said “In 2024 we doubled down on our core proposition of efficient, affordable connections. Our results show how relevant our aircraft are to our operators, and to people across the world who want to connect, sustainably.”
