First Bad News: CH-46 Crash Kills 12 In Kuwait

Greater Love Hath No Man...

When you get this many aircraft together in such a treacherous part of the world, bad things are bound to happen... but it hurts none-the-less, no matter the statistical inevitability.

US military sources have disclosed that a US Marine Corps CH-46 Sea Knight has gone down, killing 4 American and 8 British crewmen. The 16 dead comprise all those aboard the twin rotor aircraft. Military spokesmen report that there was NO indication of enemy fire in the accident that took place some nine miles south of the Iraqi border. Mechanical failure is suspected. The aircraft was operated by the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force, and went down in Kuwait at 0637, local time.

No other details were available when this report was filed... and we'll be sure to get relevant details to you ASAP. To those who called them friend or family, our prayers are with you.
