Arizona Man Allegedly Shoots At Parked Airplane

Suspect Charged With DUI, Among Other Things

Shots were fired at a parked Grumman Albatross at Deer Valley Airport near Phoenix early Sunday, and a local resident is under arrest, charged with aggravated DUI and felony flight.

Randon Reid Mugshot (Yes, Really)

The suspect is 26-year-old Randon Reid. The shots were fired near the airport about 0130 local time Sunday, and they were heard by police officers on a routine patrol. The police saw a vehicle speeding away, and  gave chase.

Grumman Albatross N7025J

Television station KTVK reports on its arizonafamily.com website that when the officers tried to pull Reid over, he refused to stop. He was later located at his home and taken into custody.

Police seized two guns they believe were used in the shooting. The Albatross was damaged by the gunfire. It is not known if the plane's owner has any connection with Reid which may have led to the incident.
