Rotax Announces 2024 Fly-In Tour Dates

German LSA Community Get a Schedule for Spring, Fall Get-Togethers

Rotax is taking its Fly-In on the road, moving beyond its historical stomping ground of Wels, Austria.

The 2024 Fly-In World Tour will see them touch down in Australia, Argentina, Canada, too, allowing more of their international market to get in on the fun. (Austria is still on, too, of course.) Each event will see keynote speakers, food trucks, manufacturer demonstrations, vendors, dinner with music, and more. Canadians looking to learn more about their Rotax mills can sit in on presentations that give a run down of just exactly what makes a 916iS different from a 915iS, and Argentines can get a front row seat to a RedBull Airshow. Each region will get its own iteration of the shindig, allowing every Rotax meetup to establish its own distinct culture going forward.

Last year, Brazil broke the mold for an outside Fly-In, bringing out almost 200 enthusiasts in a market that didn't always come off as a hub for light sport fans. That's been a good indicator for Rotax to continue on, and its roster of tour stops shows that it's earnest about spreading the fandom beyond the same ol' circuit of airshows and fly-ins. The first will be held in Australia from April 12-14, the second from August 23-24 in Austria, the thirds September 7th in Canada, and the last from October 26-27 in Argentina. Each airfield and fly-in will sport its own distinct approach instructions and charts, so those unaccustomed to crossing borders would do well to bone up on their paperwork in the weeks prior.

"Being able to announce such an impressive lineup in the first-year highlights once again, the commitment of our network partners and the fact that this event series is exactly what our customers have been asking for," said Peter Oelsinger, General Manager of BRP-Rotax. He wears a few more hats, too, as member of the Management Board, Vice President of Sales, Marketing RPS-Business & Comms.
