TY96 And TY97 Radios Introduced At Dallas Convention
Trig Avionics Limited is pleased to announce new avionic stack products at the 2015 AEA International Convention in Dallas today. Trig’s TY96 and TY97 Aviation Radios define a new standard in dual 25 kHz and 8.33 kHz radio design. With a superbly engineered slimline case, that is only 1.3” high - each radio saves valuable panel space and is packed with innovative and practical features.

The TMA44 and TMA45 Audio Panels, also unveiled today, are dual comm, dual nav and fully featured audio panels. Each audio panel has a built in intercom and Marker Beacon receiver. The TMA45 has additional entertainment features and Bluetooth wireless support for music and mobile devices.
“It’s great to announce these high quality avionics that are easy to install and a pleasure to use," said Andy Davis Trig CEO. "Our new radios are the slimmest retro-fit for any stack. They are the perfect replacement for older legacy radios such as the KY196A, KY197A or SL40.
Trig’s Better by Design philosophy promises a superior user interface with features that pilots will really appreciate. Despite their slimline size both radio models, the 10 Watt (TY96) and 16 Watt (TY97) features include: ‘Push Step’ providing faster tuning and ‘Say Again’ which allows instant play-back of your last transmission. This is a real advantage to student and even experienced pilots - saving the embarrassment of asking air traffic to repeat a message. An Emergency button automatically sets 121.5 MHz and volume levels. This guarantees a successful transmission in what can be a stressful situation. Finally, a handy USB port allows the upload of an airfield database – this contains 200 of your preferred frequencies and identifiers.

Andy said “With a choice of two audio panels we expect most pilots will prefer our fully featured stereo and Bluetooth audio panel, the TMA45. Those wanting key features but great value will love our standard panel the TMA44.”
The TMA45 hosts 2-6 seats, and has Trig Digital Noise Reduction (TDNR) to automatically select the optimum level of intercom squelch and mic threshold to reduce cockpit noise. Trig Active Mute (TAM) further reduces unwanted background noise from radio static producing class leading audio. This allows the customer to enjoy the comprehensive stereo music and entertainment options. The TMA44 hosts 2-4 seats and has mono entertainment and communication options.
Andy Davis said, “These products will be available later this year. Our worldwide Approved Trig Dealer network and global Trig Service Centres provide excellent customer service and a two year warranty.”
