The FAA and EASA have awarded STC authorization to Continental Motors for the Cessna 172 family of aircraft powered by the jet fuel diesel engine CD-155.

The certification now includes the integration of the Garmin G1000. The European STC allows the retrofit of avgas engine equipped C172 to Continental Motors’ diesel power plants. To display engine data in the avionic system for the models 172 R and S the integration of Garmin G1000 NAV III avionics with WAAS is required.
