Lily UAV Indiegogo Effort Suspended

Company Says The Aircraft Is Under Review By The 'Trust & Safety' Team

The crowdfunding effort for the UAV described by its developers as the "world's first throw-and shoot camera" has been suspended pending a review of the aircraft.

SUAS News reports that the Lily UAV is currently under review by the "Trust & Safety" team at the crowdfunding site Indiegogo. A message on the Lily page on the site confirms the review, and says interested parties can contact the company to get more information.

Lily was doing a pre-sale effort on the page rather than a more traditional crowdfunding effort.

A recent blog post by the Lily team indicated that they were busy testing a sonar sensor in the aircraft. It is intended to keep the aircraft at least three feet off the ground at all times.

Indiegogo says the job of the "Trust & Safety Team" is to review "the data and customer feedback closely, and takes appropriate action to protect the integrity of our platform."

It was not indicated why the Lily effort was being reviewed.
