LGBT Worldwide Aviation Community Hosts Jobs Event

The National Gay Pilots Association (NGPA) Will Host A Free Career Day For Students Interested In Aviation

The National Gay Pilots Association (NGPA) will host a free career day for students interested in aviation. The student programing will be presented alongside the 2019 NGPA Industry Expo Presented by United Airlines, on Friday February 8, 2019 between 8am-4pm at the Renaissance Palm Springs Hotel.

Featured content for students include presentations from companies and universities aimed at students pursuing an aviation career. Delta Air Lines, JetBlue Airways, Envoy and LIFT Academy will be among approximately 20 organizations offering information specifically geared to students. Additionally, Dr. Paul Foster, an FAA Safety Team Program Manager, will present a seminar offered for credit in the FAA Pilot Proficiency – WINGS program. The student portion of the 2019 NGPA Industry Expo Presented by United Airlines is offered at no charge. No advanced registration is required.

The 2019 NGPA Industry Expo Presented by United Airlines will feature guest speakers, as well as aviation products and services appealing to everyone from the hobbyist to the professional, with over 50 companies attending. Featured speakers at the event include Brian Kelly, founder and CEO of The Points Guy (TPG); Capt. Dana Archibald, President & CEO of The Aviation Family Fund (AFF); John and Martha King, the owners and operators of King Schools which has delivered millions of courses to pilots in training for over 40 years; and Col. Buff Burkel, retired Chief of Air Mobility Command’s Aviation Energy and Innovation Division, Scott AFB, IL.
