'Survivor: ANN' Coming To Fall 2008 Television Schedule

Winner Awarded Associate Editor Position With Aviation's ONLY Real-Time News Service!

ANN APRIL 1st "SPECIAL" EDITION: It should make for some good TV, to say the least. One of the most popular reality shows in television history has joined forces with the Aero-News Network, to determine who should be named the online aviation news service's next associate editor.

In association with Mark Burnett Productions, "Survivor: ANN" will debut on the CBS fall schedule in September 2008.

"We've had some truly FANTASTIC people in this role over the past two years, who were drawn to the position by their own love of writing, aviation, and the appeal of working in the high-energy environment of a busy news-gathering organization," said ANN Managing Editor Rob Finfrock. "Alas, as it's a part-time position, we admittedly competed for time with the demands of those individuals' "regular," five-day-per-week jobs... and family members who expressed qualms about only seeing the backs of their loved ones' heads on the weekends as they sat at the computer.

"It takes a special type of individual to work at ANN," Finfrock added. "Strong intestinal fortitude, a near-obsessive work ethic, the strength to stand up against adversity... and, well, the ability to work with sometimes difficult people, not naming names or anything... these are all traits we're looking for in our next Associate Editor, and these are all traits Survivor exploits to dramatic effect on a weekly basis.

"Wait, did I just say 'exploit?" Finfrock asked. "Um, displays. I meant 'displays.'"

Filming has already begun on the series, with 16 potential applicants facing off in a variety of ANN-specific challenges -- including "Zero-G Glasair Ride," "How To Properly Spell 'Poberezny," "The KC-X Contract Tug-Of-War," and "Ultimate Challenge -- Sneak Jim Into Sun 'N Fun."

The winner of "Survivor: ANN" will be awarded a one-year, at-will, potentially-paid position with the aviation world's ONLY Real-Time news and information service, the keys to a 2004 Saturn sport-utility vehicle, and three desktop computers.
