Volunteers To Strike At Sun-n-Fun

'We've Had Enough' Group Leaders Say

After years of forced slave labor by the Sun-'n-Fun Fly-in organizers, event volunteers have decided to picket in front of the fly-in's main gate later this month. Some of the long-time volunteers are complaining about the low pay and inedible lunch meat, while the younger workers complain that organizers promised them the event was a "pick-up spot".

"Dude, (John) Burton told me this place was loaded with chicks," Mr. Bud Weiser told ANN.

Holding signs that read "Just Say No To Burton" while singing "We Are The Champions" -- the song made famous by the rock band Queen -- an initial gathering of 250 volunteers picketed in front to the Sun-N-Fun headquarters building yesterday. Some of the protesters even took the extreme measure of chaining themselves to the building's front door.

Vowing not to take this uprising sitting down, Sun-n-Fun director John Burton spoke to reporters at a hastily called press conference held near the FAA Flight Service Station building.

"I don't understand what their (the volunteers) problem is," Burton said while raising his fists in the air. "Hey, we give them free water and Bologna sandwiches all week long." It doesn't get any better than that!"

Hecklers, who chanted "Slave Driver", over and over, repeatedly interrupted Burton's conference. After several minutes of the vocal barrage, Burton threw his hands up in the air and stomped into the headquarters building. ANN attempted to speak with Mr. Burton, but a Sun n' Fun spokesperson said he was "in session" and not able to comment any further.
