Airborne at Oshkosh 2013-Day Three: EAA Biz, Lycoming, Kestrel

EAA held its annual membership meeting Wednesday morning at Theater in the Woods, a change from previous years that chairman Jack Pelton said would give more members an opportunity to attend the meeting. Lycoming Engines press conference was heavy on preparations for future industry changes.

Kestrel Aircraft announced that the GARMIN G3000 avionics suite has been chosen as the launch avionics platform for the Kestrel Aircraft, currently in development. The Jetman … Yves Rossy … made his public US debut at Oshkosh. After the flight, he answered questions from reporters about what it’s like to fly the Breitling sponsored Wing. PS Engineering showed of its new PAR-200 audio panel with an integrated comm radio which was developed in conjunction with TRIG avionics. It’s no secret that there has been some … tension … between the EAA and the FAA leading up to AirVenture.
