Lancair 'Fly Columbia Tour' Set To Roll

Showroom on Wheels Begins National Tour

The Columbia aircraft experience is coming to an airport near you via the Company’s new “Fly Columbia Tour” kicking off May 6-8 at the Central Texas Air Show in Temple, Texas. The tour includes a customized semi-truck trailer that expands to become a Lancair Columbia showroom on wheels.

The rolling exhibit includes a full-sized fuselage and cockpit mock up, video programming, various educational displays and a private area for Lancair Columbia owners and depositors. The exhibit will be staffed by a combination of regional Lancair Sales & Service Center and factory personnel.

“When you’re considering the purchase of a new aircraft, there is no substitute for a trip to the factory to see what the aircraft and the company are all about,” said Lancair Vice President of Marketing and Sales Randy Bolinger. “It may not be feasible for everyone considering a Columbia to visit our headquarters in Bend, Oregon, but with the ‘Fly Columbia Tour’ we can bring at least a piece of the Columbia experience to them. We think it’s going to be a lot of fun this summer.”

The Tour’s initial schedule starts in Texas, moves to the Eastern Seaboard, crosses the country to the Northwest and then returns eastward to Oshkosh, Wisconsin for AirVenture 2005. See the schedule below for dates and places nearest you:
