Also: Aura Aero, Gleim DPE, AviationStart

The big news at SnF25 revolves around Deltahawk’s HUGE move in pushing forward with STC retrofits for two of GA’s most pivotal airframes, the Cessna 172 and 182. Flight schools, take note, how would you like a C172 that’s about 40% more efficient? Yes, there was a MOSAIC Forum at Sun ’n Fun... the one hour session took all of 18 minutes just to introduce a number of folks we already know... and provided only minimal data on the state of MOSAIC... which is still AWOL until some unknown time in the future. Hopefully; we’ll see it at Oshkosh but insiders call that expectation, ‘op

NTSB Final Report: Remos Aircraft GMBH Gemini Remos G-3/600

Upon Touchdown, The Right Wing Impacted The Water, Spinning The Airplane, And Collapsing The Right Float

Analysis: The pilot reported that he performed a preflight inspection of the float-equipped airplane. After engine start, warm up, and taxi, he began his takeoff roll from the lake. The pilot said the airplane took longer than normal to take off and once he was airborne his airspeed was only about 40-45 miles per hour. When he lowered the nose of the airplane to gain airspeed, the “right wing started to wave up and down,” consistent with a stall.

“The pilot conducted a risk assessment of the flight; however, he omitted to include the carriage (transportation) of the penguin on-board... the cyclic pitch control lever advanced to the far-right position. The helicopter rolled to the right and the pilot could not recover timeously.” Source: Part of the investigative report into a bizarre accident involving an R44... and a penguin. On January 19, the R44 Raven II took off for what was supposed to be an aerial surveillance flight. A pilot and three passengers were on board, with one of them bringing a penguin on board to transport it back to Port Elizabeth. To do so, they set the penguin inside a cardboard box with holes that was placed on a passenger’s lap.&n
