First Sim Of Its Type To Be So Qualified
FlightSafety International's new
Bombardier Q300 aircraft simulator has been qualified to Level D by
the Japanese Civil Aviation Bureau, the company announced
Wednesday. The simulator is located just outside of Tokyo, Japan at
the Haneda Airport. It will also be used for Bombardier Dash 8 100
and Q200 aircraft training.
“We are pleased to increase our support for Bombardier and
our mutual Customers who operate Dash 8 100, Q200 and Q300 Series
aircraft in Japan and the surrounding region,” said Bruce
Whitman, President & CEO. “This is the first simulator of
its type to receive JCAB qualification. It is a clear demonstration
of FlightSafety’s ability to design and manufacture high
quality simulators that replicate the exact flying characteristics
of the aircraft and offer exceptional reliability and
value.”
The simulator will serve Bombardier Dash 8/Q Series aircraft
operators based in Japan as well as those from Russia, Taiwan and
the Philippines. It is currently available for Bombardier Q300
aircraft training and is expected to be qualified for Dash 8 100
and Q200 training in October 2009.
The advanced technology full flight simulator is equipped with
FlightSafety’s latest technology including electric motion
and control loading and the VITAL X visual system.
