Citation CJ1 Transports Life Saving Organs

Cessna has announced the delivery of Citation CJ1, serial number 505, to Midwest Transplant Network. The Citation CJ1 will be used to support their mission of transporting organs and medical professionals involved with transplantation-related services.

"We believe this Citation is an essential component in our mission to deliver life-saving organs and tissue to patients in Kansas and Missouri," said Rob Linderer, Midwest Transplant Network Executive Director.

"When the call comes in, our recipients deserve delivery of these vital organs as quickly as possible, and air travel is often necessary to achieve that." Introduced at the 1998 NBAA convention as the successor to the original CitationJet, the CJ1 is known for its high performance and low operating cost. Over 140 Citation CJ1s have entered service since the first delivery in March 2000.

Midwest Transplant Network is a not-for-profit 501c(3) corporation and is one of more than fifty federally certified Organ Procurement Organizations. They have been designated as the exclusive Organ Procurement Organization for the state of Kansas and the western two-thirds of Missouri.
