Satcom Direct Plane Simple Ku-Band Terminal On Gulfstream Models

First G600 With Tail-Mounted System Delivered

Satcom Direct (SD) has announced that its advanced technology Plane Simple Ku-Band tail-mount terminal is now available on Gulfstream production aircraft, and the first production G600 with the system has been delivered.

The system is currently available on the G650, G650ER, G500, and G600 production aircraft, and additional installations are in progress.

The achievement extends the successful rollout in the aftermarket sector for the SD Plane Simple terminal, which entered service in February 2023 and is now flying in over 150 aircraft globally.

The system was purpose-built for the business aviation market and provides the needs specific to that sector, including robust cybersecurity options, agnostic design for ease of third-party integrations, and global 24/7/365 human customer support.

Chris Moore, Satcom Direct President said, “Our antennas are designed to protect the owners’ investment by delivering reliable, genuinely global coverage and are future-proofed to adapt to the evolving connectivity landscape.”

Moore continued, “Owners selecting the SD connectivity solutions can be confident that their multi-million-dollar asset is being delivered with the latest connectivity system that will not become obsolete within a few years. This represents another significant landmark in our Plane Simple journey as Gulfstream becomes the first OEM to include our state-of-the-art hardware as an option.”
