Pegasus Purchases Up To 200 Boeing 737-10 Aircraft

Airline Places Firm Order For 100 Jets, Options For Additional 100

Boeing and Pegasus Airlines extended their long-term partnership as they announced an agreement for the low-cost carrier to purchase up to 200 Boeing 737-10 aircraft as the airline modernizes and expands its fleet. The 737-10 is the largest model in the 737 MAX family and can carry up to 240 passengers on trips as long as 3,100 nm (5,740 km).

The 737-10 will reduce fuel consumption and emissions by 20 percent compared to the aircraft it will replace. This improvement in efficiency and flexibility will enable Pegasus to serve more passengers on more routes while paying the lowest cost per seat of any other single-aisle airliner.

Güliz Öztürk, CEO of Pegasus Airlines said, "Boeing aircraft have been an integral part of our operations since Pegasus entered the aviation industry in 1990. We are pleased to be expanding our fleet with the new Boeing 737-10 model aircraft. We continue to invest in our fleet in line with our growth targets in Türkiye and globally, and to expand our network by launching new routes."

Pegasus began operations with the Boeing 737 Classic nearly 35 years ago. These 737-10 aircraft will complement its fleet of next-gen 737s by providing operational commonality and flexibility.

Stephanie Pope, President and CEO of Boeing Commercial Airplanes said, "We have been a proud partner of Pegasus Airlines since their inception and we are excited to welcome them as the newest 737 MAX customer. We appreciate their trust in the Boeing team and we look forward to delivering on the 737-10 and its promise of greater efficiency, versatility and reliability."
