Embraer Releases 2nd Quarter Results

Brazilian Jet Maker Sees Solid Growth Against Q2 2021

Embraer has announced the results of its second quarter sales this year, standing at a total of 32 jets shipped as the firm continues its climb back to normalcy.

Of those delivered, 11 of the aircraft were bound for standard commercial service, with 21 jets from Embraer’s Executive arm. Throughout the year, they have shipped 46 aircraft in total, predominantly executive at a ratio of 29 executive to 17 commercial. Their order backlog stands at a healthy $17.8 billion, still the highest point since 2018 and an impressive 12% more than the same time last year.

Embraer was able to grab up a few new additions to their customer portfolio, including Dominican operator Sky High after their delivery of 2 first-gen E190 jets. Embraer also added a bit of work for their conversion services, inking a deal to convert up to 10 E-Jets from freight into passenger configuration from an unknown customer fleet. The deal marks a notable continuation of Embraer’s conversion offerings, following their very first order of its kind last may. In that arrangement, the company agreed to convert 10 of Nordic Aviation Capital’s E190F and E195F jets.

Additional sales and services include the addition of LOT Polish Airlines to the Embraer Pool Program, covering 44 of their E-Jets. Embraer Defense & Security also established agreements with BAE with a pair of MOUs to expand their defense footprint. The first will see the promotion of the C-390 in Middle Eastern Markets, and the second will create a joint venture for a defensive variant of the Eve (a pet project slash subsidiary of Embraer’s) electric VTOL aircraft. Further details have not been announced, but the end result is sure to adorn a poster or two once finally unveiled.
