DUATS, GCA RADAR, UAVs, All On The Agenda At K-State

Topics Will Be Discussed At A Forum Sponsored by K-State Aviation and FAASTeam

Kansas State University is partnering with FAASTeam to sponsor a presentation about K-State's Aviation Safety Program on Thursday, Oct. 1, at 1900 on the K-State at Salina campus.

"Aviation Safety Program at KSU: How the Marshall Field GCA radar service at Ft. Riley and DUATS can help you" will include discussion of the new Marshall Field GCA radar services, how to use the new DUATS system, and the operation of K-State's Unmanned Aerial System in national air space around the Kansas National Guard's Great Plains Joint Training Center's Crisis City located near Salina, KS.

Speakers include Ralph Millard, Marshall Field Ft. Riley Tower Chief; David Chaffee, U.S. Army Developmental Test Command DUATS Marketing Director; Kurt Barnhart, head of K-State's Department of Aviation; and Eric Shapee, assistant professor of aviation at K-State.

All pilots are welcome to attend the free event, but seating for the event is limited. Pre-registration is suggested by visiting the FAASTeam site online.
