Upgraded: Rick Neely

Former Corporate Pilot Becomes Mooney's Domestic Sales Manager

Mooney Airplane Company has named Rick Neely, 47, an experienced corporate pilot and aircraft owner, as its domestic sales manager. David Copeland, vice president of sales and marketing for the high-performance single-engine airplane manufacturer, announced his appointment. In his new role, Neely will supervise Mooney's direct sales force and will be based at the company's headquarters in Kerrville.

"Our sales philosophy is founded on integrity, trust and the establishment of solid, long-term relationships with our customers," Copeland explained, adding that, "Rick Neely embodies that same approach. His passion for our products is matched by his desire to help customers make good buying decisions. His leadership and experience as the owner and manager of a successful business, in addition to being an avid pilot, make him an outstanding addition to our sales force."

Neely, who has managed his own automotive service business for the past ten years, gained sales and sales management experience in the automotive industry, most recently at Cecil Atkission Motors in Burnet, Texas. He has earned credits toward degrees in both aviation science and criminal justice from Central Texas College in Killeen, Texas. In addition, he serves as a reserve deputy for the Burnet County Sheriff's Office. A licensed pilot with commercial, multi-engine and instrument ratings, Neely has logged more than 1300 hours flying and has served as a corporate pilot for Trautman Development in Laredo, Texas.
