In the first of his four part series, Doug Ritter relates the best tactical approach after surviving an aircraft crash.  According to Ritter, the most common mistake that survivors make is not staying put at the location of the crash, thus decreasing the likelihood of a quick, effective recovery by rescuers.

Internationally renown for his authority on survival related subjects, Ritter is the found, publisher, and editor of “Equipped to Survive,” a revolutionary guide to product reviews, evaluations and articles regarding survival equipment and production. In addition, Doug Ritter is the Board Chairman and Executive Director of the “Equipped To Survive Foundation,” dedicated to saving lives through survival research and education.
