Frasca to Supply Mustang FTD To The FAA

Training Device To Be Housed In Oklahoma City

Frasca International announced Monday it has been awarded a contract by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to build a Cessna Citation Mustang Flight Training Device (FTD). This FTD will be qualified as a FAA Level 5 FTD and will be located at the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center in Oklahoma City.

The Urbana, IL-based simulator maker says the FTD will accurately replicate the flight deck of the Mustang jet, and will include the Garmin G1000 avionics package.

FTD will also include Frasca’s TruVision Visual System with a 220 degree display system, a high fidelity sound system, Frasca’s TruFeel electric control system,  auto-test, Frasca’s Graphical Instructor Station (GISt) and a Frasca developed debrief station.

Frasca manufactures flight training equipment for airlines, flight schools, universities and military organizations worldwide. Product range includes Flight Training Devices (FTDs), FNPT I, II and IIMCC devices, CPTs, Full Flight Simulators (FFS) and more for all aircraft types, fixed wing and rotary. Frasca has delivered over 2000 devices to some 70 countries since the companies founding in 1958.
