Comlux America Launches A New STC Project On Challenger 600 Series

Allows Airplanes To Operate In Airspace Requiring CPDLC

Comlux America, the Indianapolis, IN-based completion and service center of the Comlux Group, has launched a new Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) project on the Bombardier Challenger CL-600 series. The STC project installs and certifies the equipment required for operation in airspace requiring Cockpit/Pilot Data Link Communications (CPDLC). The system incorporates equipment from Universal Avionics Systems Corporation (UASC), International Communications Group (ICG), and L-3 Aviation Recorders.

The launching customer of this brand-new system has selected Comlux America to perform the installation in the early spring of 2014.

“Since our full Bombardier Authorized Service Facility approval four years ago, the Challenger CL-600 airframes represent a robust segment of our services division," said Jim Soleo, Chief Executive Officer, Comlux America. "Our customers have been looking for a solution that will allow them to operate in an environment that requires FANS and Link 2000+ capability. We are proud to be the first company launching this new certification and we are looking forward to offering this service to our customers.”

Comlux America, located in Indianapolis, Indiana, is part of Comlux, The Aviation Group, a leading provider of worldwide aviation services that includes aircraft management, VIP charters, aircraft sales and acquisitions, aircraft cabin designs and completions, aircraft engineering services, aircraft maintenance, and avionics design and integration.
