Aircraft Spruce & Specialty Renews Sponsorship Of EAA Sportair Workshops

Will Cover Homebuilts From Sheet Metal To Composite

Aircraft Spruce & Specialty Company, an aviation supply house, has renewed its sponsorship of the Experimental Aircraft Association's SportAir Workshops for another year. The one-, two- and three-day hands-on training courses are held nationwide, teaching necessary skills and techniques to build a safe aircraft.

With the increasing interest in homebuilt aircraft throughout the nation, EAA's SportAir Workshops, which cover all the key areas of aircraft building like sheet metal, fabric and composite construction, have become an essential resource for builders.

"EAA is pleased that Aircraft Spruce is renewing their sponsorship this year, continuing a partnership we began in 2000," said Charlie Becker, EAA's Director of Aviation Information Services. "Our combined efforts will continue to grow the homebuilt movement."

Aircraft Spruce & Specialty Co. offers over 35,000 products ranging from airplane parts to pilot supplies. The Company's ability to serve aviation seekers of all stages has combined with the EAA to recognize the importance of pursuing a hobby in homebuilt aircraft, while ensuring safety and best results.

"Aircraft Spruce recognizes that EAA's SportAir Workshops provide the knowledge and training that people need to start building an aircraft and we want to support that effort," said Jim Irwin, President of Aircraft Spruce & Specialty.
