One Six Right DVD Available from Sporty's

One Six Right is an inspiring documentary film that celebrates the unsung hero of aviation — the local airport. This film shares the timeless romance of flying and dispels common misconceptions about general aviation airports by tracing the life, history, and struggles of an airport icon: Southern California's Van Nuys Airport (VNY).

One of the most talked about films in years, One Six Right is presented in High Definition 16:9 format with Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound. It takes viewers on a journey through spectacular aerial sequences and is narrated by the people at the airport: the pilots who use it, air traffic controllers, historians and flight enthusiasts such as Hollywood director Sydney Pollack, actor Lorenzo Lamas, news anchors Paul Moyer and Hal Fishman and many others.

The DVD uncovers the rich history of this airport — Amelia Earhart broke a world speed record over its runways, Marilyn Monroe was discovered while working in its hangars and scenes from Casablanca were filmed on its grounds. Through this history, the viewer comes to have a new appreciation for the significance of all general aviation airports as a critical component of the communities they serve.

One Six Right DVD [D835A] is available for $28.95. In addition to this DVD, One Six Right posters and soundtrack are also available.
