Glendon Fraser Named 2024 Frank G. Brewer Trophy Recipient

Recognition For His Dedication To Youth Programming And Outreach

The National Aeronautic Association (NAA) has announced that the 2024 Frank G. Brewer Trophy will be awarded to Lt. Col. Glendon Fraser, USAF (Ret.). He is a Senior Airline Captain, aviation program pioneer, aerospace educator, and non-profit board member.

The Frank G. Brewer Trophy, established in 1943, is awarded annually to an individual, group of individuals, or organization for their significant contributions to aerospace education in the U.S. The Trophy is displayed at the Smithsonian’s National Air & Space Museum.

Fraser immigrated to the U.S. as a youth and has dedicated his life to fostering career pathways in the aviation industry. Leveraging his experience as an Air National Guard Officer and Senior Captain with United Airlines, he seeks to bring young people into aviation through his thoughtful programming.

His significant achievements include the formation of the Trowell-Harris Chapter of the national Tuskegee Airmen organization, for which he served as Acting President for 25 years. He also created the Lt. Lee Archer Jr. Youth Flying Program, an aviation ground school for middle and high school students that provides three hours of classroom instruction weekly.

Fraser also recently launched the RedTail Flight Academy which concentrates on training minority flight students for future airline jobs.

The Brewer Trophy will be presented to Glendon Fraser at the NAA’s Fall Award Dinner on November 6, 2024, in Washington, D.C.
