Eclipse Aviation Achieves Sub-$1 Million Sales Goal

Price transition announced in January 2003 takes effect

Eclipse Aviation has achieved its goal of selling its full order book of 2,100 aircraft at a sub-$1 Million price tag. The price of the Eclipse 500 is now transitioning to $1,175,000 for all new orders.

At a customer and investor summit in January of 2003, Eclipse announced its intention to increase the price of the Eclipse 500 following the sale of 100 additional aircraft for under $1 Million.  As the remaining 100 aircraft have now been committed, the price for all new Eclipse 500 orders is $1,175,000.

Eclipse Aviation has been able to set a new standard for jet price/performance by introducing innovations and business practices that originated in the high-technology industry to the world of aviation. Eclipse's achievements include: pioneering the use of friction stir welding in high-volume production of thin-gauge aluminum; using the power of digital electronics to provide centralized control of all aircraft systems; and inspiring the creation of a new generation of turbine engines designed to power this exciting new category of aircraft.

The new Eclipse 500 price of $1,175,000 is effective immediately.  All prices are set in June 2000 economics.
